Woot!

Sorry to have been absent from here for the last week but I decided to sit down and stitch rather than spending a lot of time online. This is the result!

Maria Spence Finished

Maria Spence 1815 - The Essamplaire (copyright 2006)
stitched using the Linen and AVAS silk from the kit.
Started in December 2006 at the Ackworth Seminar and finished yesterday. The sharp eyed among you will notice that I've altered some of the personalisations to my own.

The reason that putting my feet up and stitching when I get the opportunity is so appealing at the moment is that I am now 17 weeks pregnant. I had a scan last week and Alien 2 is developing just as it should. The challenging bit is keeping up with an energetic toddler! The net result is that I am not spending nearly as much time online and I'm way behind in my blog reading so I hope you'll all understand that it also means that I'm not commenting as much as I would like.

I'll leave you with a picture of Rosie showing another reason why I don't get on the computer as much. I'm now having to hot desk at my own laptop!

Alien 2! Very Funny! Congratulations, Karoline. Oh the fun has already started, hasn't it? Rosie is looking so much more like a little girl now (rather than a baby).

Congratulations on Maria Spence. She is a beauty, and a whopping big one at that!

Take care!

So happy you were able to get in some stitching time this week! Congrats on a wonderful finish!

I remember well those early motherhood days when I had to share my typewriter with my toddler daughter, lol! It'll be interesting to see what your daughter will be sharing with your future grandchild. :)

Beautiful! I should be stitching inside of sitting in front of the computer.

Hooray! That's fabulous news, Karoline, congratulations!

Spending time resting and stitching is much better than sitting at the computer. And look what it brought you (apart from Alien 2, which is very funny, by the way): a finish in the stitchy department. Maria Spence is an absolute beauty.

Congratulations on Alien 2! Rosie is such a beauty, but I know there's no such thing as taking it easy during your pregnancy when you have an older child. I was supposed to be on bed rest with the twins but my older daughter was 3. I just tried to take it easy when I could. Do the same! We all understand that life comes before blogging.

Congratulations on Maria! Woohoo!

YES WOOT WOOT WOOT - I know you eluded some place about your pregnancy but I didn't want to congratulate or comment until you announced to your blog friends - so "congratulations" best wishes for a happy healthy new baby brother or sister for Rosie - she is quite the charming little lady now. Maria is stunning - good for you to perservere on finishing her up. So - are you knitting for the new baby yet? Did you see that darling little dress in the new Debbie Bliss magazine - it would be precious on Rosie - Have fun! Mel
