Happy Christmas

I would like to thank everyone who reads my blog and comments for your visits and I hope that you all had a good holiday however you celebrate.

We haven't usually made a big deal of Christmas in previous years, but this year we made a bit more of an effort to establish some traditions with Rosalin.

Here she is putting out her pillow case in anticipation of Father Christmas visit along with a glass of port, a biscuit and carrot to tempt him and the reindeer in :)

I think she was a bit taken aback at the pile of presents he left but she rapidly got the hang of opening them up!

That brings back so many memories - we used to have pillowcases for our presents when I was growing up - (we even used to make a special trip to the store to pick out a new pillowcase!) - it was a tradition I wanted to continue with my DD and then my DS, but DH nixed that, because his family didn't do that.

I'm glad you had a great Christmas, and the season really is for the children. I'm glad you made a fuss and started those traditions for Rosalind. Its those memories she'll look back on fondly as an adult!

What lovely pictures... as children we had a pillowcase instead of a stocking :)

Looks like Rosalin enjoyed Christmas, and it sounds like Santa was good to her. I am sure Christmas is all the more fun now Rosalin is about.

Oh boy, Santa's going to start getting Port at our house, too! LOL!

She looks delightful! Kids really make the holidays come to life, IMHO. ;)
