Catching Up (Again!)
Sorry to have been absent for so long, those of you who follow me on other social media know that I have been away on holiday, we went to visit my sister in New Zealand. I will blog about our trip soon but we have tons of photos to sort through first. Meanwhile I'm going to catch you up with the state of the stitching.
First off I have finished the stitching on the back of the 'Sweet Stitches Fob' from Shepherds Bush, you can see the front here.
Having finished the fob I started this ornament from Handwork for the smalls slot in my rotation. It's Christmas Stars and is from the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Edition 1999.
I have made a small amount of progress on Dorothy Walpole, I'm finding the over one section hard going.
A big decision I had to make before I went away was of course which stitching project to take with me? After some serious contemplation of the wips pile I decided to take the Scottish Sampler 1757 as charted in the Goodhart Sampler book by Needleprint which I'd not worked on since 2013. I enjoyed my time with this but it's gone back into the pile for the time being.
Moving on to knitting, I finished the socks that I was knitting for Rosie just before we left. They are basic top down socks knit in Regia Funstripe.

Hpoe you had a lovely holiday.
Lovely stitching and those socks are a great colour.
Your little SB fob is coming along great and I love the progress on Dorothy Walpole... Over one stitching does seem to take a lot of time--good luck! It will be well worth the extra effort...
Great progress on your stitching projects. These samplers look so lovely, and I have to go and look up the ornament with the beautiful flower in the 1999 issues of JCS.
Great stitching :)
