A Finish!

I got a finish in at the start of the month.  I mentioned during the 'Fan Girl February' that I was working on a piece by Blackbird Designs as a gift.  It has now gone to it's new home so I can share it with you. The fabric it's resting on is the one I used to back the pincushion.

Summer-Stars-March-2012

Summer Stars - Blackbird Designs, design from A Stitcher's Journey, 2011
Stitched on Silkweaver 'Heritage' Belfast Linen with Sampler Threads

I didn't have the recommended colours of Sampler Threads so I used a selection from my stash from left to right: Harvest Basket, Wood Rose, Walnut, Straw Basket & Antique Rose.

And it is absolutely gorgeous and far far too nice to actually stick pins in - I've placed a few really carefully round the edges!
Thankyou so much, it is very much appreciated.

It's so nice to "finish" something and then be ready to move on to the next project.
