We had a rather stressful time last week so getting a parcel from my friend Beverly really cheered me up. It had taken the long way round to get over the pond, over a month!
Inside was this gorgeous Stitchery Keep from Olde Colonial Designs

A Sewing Finish
For my landmark birthday last year I decided that I would like a new sewing machine as my present. So after some research at the Festival of Quilts I invested in a Janome 6260QC. I also had a good browse round the other stalls and several things came home with me :)
Among them was a printed panel to make a rag book for Rosalin with the goal of getting it sewn before she grew too old to play with them! I met my goal during the week :)
As you can see it appears to be a hit.

Maria Spence Update
I thought I would share a photo of the Hyacinths that I bought from our local greengrocers, they're currently brightening up my days a lot.
And in other news I'm now two thirds of the way through Maria Spence!

Summer Button Up finished
We've been in the middle of a cold snap here so snuggling up under a quilt and stitching on Summer Button Up in the evenings has been a very attractive proposition. So attractive in fact, that I have got it finished.
I'm planning on finishing in the same way as I did Spring Button Up which I stitched back in 2005. I just hope that I manage to get the other two done a little quicker than one every four years!

Juda Hale Progress
Here's where I'm up to with the Juda Hale School Sampler, it's really been growing on me as I work on it.
Unfortunately it's having to go back into the wip bag as I'm doing the Americana Sewing Case online class by Merry Cox that is being offered by the Shining Needle Society which will be worked on in the class slot in my rotation.
