Sorry for the lack of updates recently,  last week I had a small boy with flu

and this week it's half term.

Because of this we took a trip out to Filey on Tuesday to visit my parents.  We were fortunate with the weather and were able to get down to the beach although with all the rain there were a lot of puddles much to Christopher's delight.

As you can tell he's fully recovered!
Of course we can't go to the beach whatever the time of year without digging holes or riding a donkey!

There has been a bit of stitching happening, I finished my rotation slot on Spot of Winter (which I still need to photograph) and started the last slot on this rotation round, working on CA Wells Whitework sewing companion.  I'm going to be fed up of four sided stitch by the time I finish this slot...

Glad your little one is recovered! Asleep wit horsey cheeks is generally not a good thing.

So sorry to hear that Christopher has been sick, but glad that he recovered in time for your trip. I can't believe how big he and Rosie are getting.

Good to see that Christopher has recovered from the flu. What a treat for the kids to go to the beach and to ernjoy themselves there.
Poor wee scone, I'm glad he's feeling better. I'm amazed the donkeys are there in the middle of winter, they are so much fun for children having rides.

Oh, your little boy is so sweet, Karoline--I hope that is the end of his sick times for a long time... Your trip looks delightful--how nice that your parents live so close to the beach :)

Nice shots of the trip to the sea - glad Christopher got well again to enjoy it. I hope you don't get too bored with the 4-sided stitch, because I'd love to see what you're making eventually : -)
